He's got something big planned. You'll see. The NewsRoberto Cavalli has decided to take on the nightclub world. His first target is Dubai. Get ready for a great time. Behind the NewsFashion icon Robert Cavalli loves to surprise his adoring fans with innovations in fashion world. In the 1970s he invented a special leather printing method that allowed him to create his now-famous patchworks of materials. But today that's just not going to cut it. Cavalli's fans expect him to create a new and crazy type of clothing, making it difficult for the man to stay one step ahead. That's why he's gone and jumped into an entirely new industry for his next project. Roberto Cavalli plans to launch a new "entertainment and night-life" concept that he calls Cavalli Club (ok, so the name isn't very original, but stay with me here). Intended to be an international franchise, Cavalli plans to open the first club this November in the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai. The club will occupy two stories and have a private entrance independent from the hotel (we wouldn't want those Fairmount scum walking around the place no would we?).
Roberto Cavalli has hooked up with the Pragma Group to fund the undoubtedly super-expensive venture. Cavail has chosen Dubai because considers it to be the "city of the future and the Cavalli Club is a futuristic space created with the whole world in mind. Dubai definitely reflects the third millennium that has just started, and that will continue by proposing new expressions that can change the habits of the world. Living against monotony, with the enjoyment of music, of good food, of pleasant company: this is the Cavalli Club philosophy, and Dubai is opening the windows of tomorrow onto this project." You certainly can't claim that the man has no vision for this place. As you'd expect, the architecture, furnishings, and interiors have been specially chosen to reflect a high level of luxury and exclusivity. This place will be elitist, you're just going to have to deal with it. The ground floor features an entrance hall that guides all the visitors to a large room housing jewellery, watches, and other exclusive (ie expensive) accessories from the Cavelli Mansion. The club will be selling these accessories all night long along with a specially selected collection of fine Italian food products. Never again will you be forced to stop shopping when you go out to a club. Alcohol and compulsive shopping will be united at last. The top floor will offer customers a variety of dining options. Those craving rich Italian food will go to the centre of the hall for some of the finest pasta in Dubai. Anyone looking for Japanese food can head over to a sushi bar and sample the delicious Asian treats on low tables while reclining on sofas. Finally, everyone who came purely for booze can run over to the wine bar and enjoy a wide selection of high quality beverages including the prestigious Cavalli Selection red wine (like he wasn't going to hock that stuff here). There will also be a lounge with DJs spinning records until the wee hours of the morning. Djs, professional dancers, and the occasional live act with tower over the crowd on a suspended stage, just to make the whole experience that much fancier. This is not going to be a cheap venture for Roberto Cavalli, but it certainly sounds like an impressive one. While including a store in a nightclub is a little self-serving, the rest of the concept is quite intriguing. Cavalli Club truly will have everything that you could want from a nightclub (well, accept for dates and/or friends…but I guess you can find those yourself with a little effort). When this place opens up it will instantly be the coolest and most exclusive club in Dubai. You should make friends with the bouncers and managers early, because if you can get an insider hook-up here, your social status will skyrocket. You know how much you enjoy social status…don't be a fool. Comments
