RSS is an XML feed that streamlines content syndication. Basically, it allows you to subscribe to websites (or elements of websites) that you'd like to receive on an ongoing basis. NewsExtensions.com offers RSS feeds for the entire site, specific sections, specific users, and the search terms of your choice. Just look for the RSS symbol for links to the XML for major feeds to the site.
You'll need an RSS reader. To get one, try Google's Reader. Or, if you use Firefox, you can use the built-in RSS feature called Live Bookmark. On any page, click the RSS icon in the Status Bar and select your preferred format.
