Privé is just about to hit the Philadelphia dining scene with a vengeance. The former Bluezette has been taken over by cooking cousins Nick and Bill Lavdas (who have previously been responsible for the likes of Victory Lane and Corner Bistro in New Jersey). They decked out the space with some very expensive furniture and hired Chef Peter Karapanagiotis to take of the kitchen. As Peter's name suggests, he is of Greek heritage and proudly specializes in his native cuisine. His menu is stacked with tapas and all the mezze fixin's. Menu samples include white truffle-infused hummus, beef short rib stuffed peppers, Chicken Spanakopita, and the absurdly delicious sounding called Lollipop Lamb Chops. As you may have gathered from that brief list, this will be quite an intimidating and expensive menu…but one that is practically guaranteed to impress all the gourmet food lovers in Philadelphia. Try it out for yourself, if you can afford it. You just might find that you'll never be able to eat Greek food anywhere else again.—PB

Prive restaurant was a great and surprising choice. There are a lot of mixed reviews about this restaurant and I happened to find it very good. Service was great, food was intimidating to look at on paper, but the prices were great and the food, EXCELLENT! I would recomend this place for a nice date that you want to impress without hitting the wallet to hard or the late night lounge for the ambiance. This will be philly's next new "Prive" lounge.
